Tennessee families now have an opportunity to choose the best educational path for their children through the state's new Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS) program. This initiative aims to provide financial support for students attending private schools, including institutions like Anniston Academy in Cookeville.

What Is the Education Freedom Scholarship?
The EFS program is a statewide initiative designed to empower families with greater educational choices. Starting in the 2025–2026 school year, the program will offer 20,000 scholarships to eligible K–12 students across Tennessee. Each scholarship provides approximately $7,300 annually to cover various educational expenses, such as:
Tuition and fees
Textbooks and instructional materials
Tutoring services
Transportation costs
Educational therapy services
Technology and related expenses
